Hack of Democrats Wider than Originally Thought

“A Russian cyberattack that targeted Democratic politicians was bigger than it first appeared and breached the private email accounts of more than 100 party officials and groups,” the New York Times reports.

“The widening scope of the attack has prompted the F.B.I. to broaden its investigation, and agents have begun notifying a long list of Democratic officials that the Russians may have breached their personal accounts.”

Playbook: “There is a serious, palpable fear among Democrats right now that WikiLeaks will release a raft of new, damning emails that will help boost Donald Trump this fall.”

There's no way... So, the big question is, "Why not them?"

Not sure what either party uses for Internet security so hard to say whose is better. But finding out Repugs emails in October would be great!

Even when he was charged with rape. (It's not actually a rape-charge. The swedish charge is more like aggravated sexual assault, which is still bad enough.)

I thought: Maybe. This will somehow one day get cleared up in court. His excuse to avoid deportation to the US sounded credible.

Then it took forever for him to get interviewed in the embassy. The charge was in 2010 and he will finally be interviewed this year.

I thought: Okay. Maybe there was legal wrangling behind the scenes.

I really wanted to believe.

I really wanted to believe that a man exposing wrongdoing can be trusted.

I really wanted to believe that a man fighting imperialism is a good man.

"The WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, has made it clear that he would like to hurt Mrs. Clinton’s bid for the White House, opposing her candidacy on policy and personal grounds."

Then I had to find out that even somebody fighting for good can be reckless and petty and uncaring for the consequences of his deeds.
A man of his intelligence must be aware of what it means if Clinton loses to Trump. And yet he is toying around with political leverage to sate his thirst for personal revenge.

If someone is so selfish that he doesn't care about bringing a fascist to power, where does his selfishness end?

What is this man capable of?

What WAS this man capable of?
