They recommend that people shouldn't let their own sons and daughters sleep over for visits, if they've joined the military.

Opinions differ on ROTC members.

What part of "No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house" don't you understand?

That's one of their standard arguments.

I mean, sure, you consent to letting one live in your house, and then that one invites his/her friends over. You go out for a while, they change the locks and it looks like Camp Pendleton in there in no time.

I know one member who makes his Coast Guard daughter sleep on the porch!

But they will drink all the beer, change the programming on the DVRs, leave all the towels wet on the bathroom floor, and use all the shoe polish getting those boots to gleam.

Ok, I'm exaggerating. They won't use all the shoe polish.
