I've been seeing threads about trump reading teleprompters incorrectly. This tells me

that either he can't see very good, or can't read very good...or both, and too vain to wear glasses or take reading lessons.
That opens another question. Is he ignorant of people, places and events because he has trouble reading and seeing so it takes too long to learn anything?

The things that are obvious and verifiable have nothing to do with pathology. He doesn't care what other people think enough to listen and he doesn't think he needs to learn anything. I have seen a candidate like him before. He had a huge ego and his idea of doing research was learning more about what he agreed with to begin with. He wouldn't attend candidate forums that would have given him an opportunity to share his ideas, because he didn't think they would be fair. In other words he never exposed himself to situations where he could be caught off guard or wind up voicing an unpopular opinion. He didn't want to be in a room with a voice that disagreed with him. He didn't seem to see it as a possibility that he would lose.

He also started out as a radio personality and performer and he had only experienced being in front of an audience as a room full of people cheering him on.

What would have happened if Trump had been drowned out with boos on the stage and national TV? It's a risk he has not had to take and he seems to believe that his image is convincing and admirable because he had a popular reality show and he has had the money to cater to neutralize any failed endeavor. Failure has never been a possibility for Trump and he never had to put into any real work into success. He's lazy and entitled as are plenty of other people.

With all that money, why bother? He pays other people to read legal and business documents.

Tony Schwartz told Alan Colmes that he never planned to come forward as the author, but he felt he has a responsibility to tell his story, despite threats from the campaign. He also said that Donald Trump does not have a deep wealth of knowledge, mostly due to his incredibly short attention span, which he compared to “a 9-year old with ADHD,” and Donald Trump’s children are probably more capable than he is running a business.

also, here's the new Yorker interview with him, by Jane Mayer:

I heard a clip on the radio today when, talking about his daughter's book from 09, he said that he only read the parts of the book that were about him!
