a replay of Meet the Press.
Anyway, "Toad" pointed out that in 2011, Gov. Scott cut the mosquito control budget in the state by 40%.
Nosferatu then went on to "beg" the Federal Government for help.
Dem advertisers need a "fricking" wake-up call. I'm sure that there are thousands of clips of this Tea-Bagging, blood-sucking corpse, talking about the "evil" Federal "gubmint", and how he wanted to make "Gubmint as small as Donald Trump's fingers".
There ought to be 30 seconds adds running in all 50 "frickin" states tying the Tea-Publicans bulls#%t bathtub drowning anti-government feces around the neck of every Republican.
Just show Gov. Skeletor cutting mosquito control programs by 40%, run some clips of him railing against "big gubmint", then show the clips from MTP where he's begging the "gubmint" for help.
This stuff writes itself, and the Dems better start pointing out how everything from our economy to our beaches in Florida and our mosquito eradication programs would be 100X better if the Republicans hadn't blocked every GD thing this President and elected Dems tried to do
The final voice-over could be; "we tried to help you Governor, but your allies in the Tea-Bagging Republican House and Senate blocked us

(7,768 posts)Their politicians beat their chests and hint at secession until...they are devastated by floods, fires, hurricanes and drought.
Then, they whine for Federal money. Despicable ReThug bastards.

(4,291 posts)And Gov. Snott blames the US Army Corps of Engineers for this Eco-disaster. No mention of the state's relaxation of environmental protections against agribusiness pumping way too much fertilizer onto fields. Where's the run-off flow? Into our lakes, creeks and rivers. With all that nitrogen, and warm weather, you get toxic algae blooms.
When the newscasters blamed pet droppings and residential over-fertilization, I reached for the remote.

(45,484 posts)because this is what you get with an anti-government congress. And a reminder that everyone in the house is up for reelection this year and 1/3 of the senate.
