I am loving this story. Public defense spending in Missouri has been deliberately cut so low that the state now ranks 49 out of 50.

I wouldn't want him to defend me for anything. That he vetoed this bill shows you that he hates anyone who has broken a law more than he cares about justice.

(13,390 posts)Party affiliation sometimes resembles the Greek system at colleges. People align for advancement rather than looking at the party that reflects their values.
The current Dem nominee was a republican until 2007 when he switched in order to follow in Nixon's footsteps from AG to governor. I am in the unfortunate position of not only voting for him, but hoping he wins so that at least Dems have the veto pen for the egregious legislation the republicans will pass.
