Where can you find out about duplex or quadraplex apartments to rent?

I've been told that they are usually cheaper than complexes. They don't have the amenities, but I'm not interested in those
anyway. (Not looking to move right now but may in the near future, after retirement.)

Only thing is, it's more difficult to find out about them. They don't appear in those Apartment magazines you can pick up for free
at grocery stores and other places.

Hard to do on a crosscountry move of course but most people know where the rental housing areas are in their towns so just driving through them and looking for a for-rent sign on likely looking places is still a good option even in these hyperconnected times. It works especially well for less corporate/commercial landlords if that's a consideration.

I use them often as we are looking for housing.

Trulia.com is better for me when it comes to the filters for schools and crime.

Good luck.
