No matter how many times that I've absolutely proven FOX News had lied to people who watch it religiously, they just keep going back.

(9,771 posts)might learn to spot propaganda, reject nonsense, and maybe even learn a little tolerance. The RW has done an excellent job of brainwashing anyone who fails to spot the BS and turn away before they are under the spell.

(14,585 posts)because if that happens then we'll all become intimately familiar with a dystopian reality because our land will become a nuclear wasteland. And if not that, a carbon fueled, fracked, polluted wasteland.

(24,461 posts)Even worse when you consider that not even 1/10th of that crowd showed up at the ACTUAL RNC for the whole WEEK. I've been to mild protests in DC that had more people than that mausoleum.

(39,343 posts)Plus the crowds that local news showed were 100% white and numbered maybe 10,000 total.

(43,188 posts)Granted, the lower deck looked fairly full from the pictures I saw, but the entire building seats 15,000 with all seats uncovered. So 10,000 is a realistic estimate.
10,000 too much, mind you, but you always have to wonder about how many are there just for the trainwreck.

(14,585 posts)You know, I can remember the Young Republicans back in the 1960s. They were so clean cut that they looked trustworthy. Then they would open their mouths and you just knew they'd kill their own mothers to advance their right wing ideology. Karl Rove is one of those people. They are hate maggots.
How can we be surprised they are lying here? I think the color photo of the Nazi rally is more apropos for Trump...

(23,134 posts)That picture is not from here. We have Art Walk the first Wed. of every month. A few of my friends either work there or play there regularly and forgot about Drumpf, so went. One of them said it wasn't that much more crowded than ordinary, except some of the crowd was obviously not the usual young hipsters, and was touchy and complaining about all the people who were there and not Drumpf supporters. She said there was a few fights from people taking exception to the hatred and racist remarks from the Drumpf crowd. Of course she said the first swings were from the folks with the stupid hats.
