I cannot believe the stupidity of Trump's base defending his comments about wanting to use nuclear weapons.
There is a freeper thread posting photos of modern day Hiroshima and Nagasaki with claims that the cities are now even more beautiful and that they are radiation free. This seems like something from The Onion.
They are also claiming that modern nukes are "clean" so no big deal using them.
And, several are saying that our tax dollars have paid for nuclear weapons therefore they need to be used.
The "followers" of Trump are absolutely terrifying.
I can only hope these people are trolls just trying to be outrageous.

(5,504 posts)They also fail to ignore that nuclear weapons now are hundreds, if not thousands of times more powerful than when they were in their infancy. Even tactical nukes cause a devastating environmental impact. A small nuclear attack would cause enough global cooling to kill hundreds of millions of people.
Dear Freepers - want to freeze or starve to death? Nukes are a great way to do that.
