Payback is a motherf**ker. For 8 years you Republican bastards

have obstructed President Obama at nearly every turn, your latest stunt refusing to deliberate on his nominee to SCOTUS.

So yesterday, President Obama tied Trump around your puerile pissant necks, leaving you just enough air so that you remain conscious as Trump drains the last breaths from your putrid corpses.

Enjoy it, you Republican pricks. And know this: revenge is a dish best served motherf**king cold!

Makes me proud that our first black President is this man. I hope due to what he's been able to accomplish in spite of the republiCONs that we'll see many more minorities in the oval office. Not just Blacks either but Women, Mexican, hell Mexican women too, Native Americans also. Our country is much better for us having elected Barack Obama as our President. No one nationality or gender should have a lock on the Presidency as its been for way too long now

I've voted for him 3 times. once in the primary and twice in the generals. My most proud votes ever to I might add.

I love my President and first family, Michelle, the Kids, and Grandmother

under any circumstances, I do have a fantasy..

The RNC dumps Trump, despite having no rule that allows them to do so.
Several states parties ask SCOTUS to stop them, even though they may not have jurisdiction over the issue.
The Notorious RBG smiles sweetly at the Republicans, and votes to do so, and her posse follows suit.
Then she looks at Kennedy, who says, 'they've been condemning me since Obergefell, Fischer and the Texas abortion law ruling. Fuck 'em. Let 'em hump Trump."

As they often say on SCOTUSblog, 5 justices can do whatever they want.

I hope they have to slog all the way to November like this.

What we DO NOT want OR need, brothers and sisters, is for Trump to step aside. Because by ANY comparison, whoever they bring in will be widely viewed as a relief, a colossally more reasonable individual, and all the defectors will go racing back and standing in solidarity with the party they're now on the verge of abandoning.

So we'll get Pence and Worse-Than-Pence. How 'bout Pence/Brownback? Or Pence/Snyder? Or Pence/Gingrich? Mike Pence is an extremist religious fanatic dressed in sheep's clothing. He will do everything he can to impose Christian Sharia Law on America.

NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!! We need Trump to stay right where he is. Because he could be the one who finally takes this dreadful political party down to its collective death. And THAT is what we really - actually, what we DESPERATELY - need, to rehabilitate our beloved country.

This is what your long-ago embrace of the worst of the racist South, and the Dixiecrats, has wrought.

This is what you get when you sidle up to the most extremist of the religious fanatics.

This is what you're left with when you've spent the last 30-40 years relentlessly teaching America to hate, resent, and be suspicious of government.

This is what results when you sow discord and hatred and divisiveness. And ENCOURAGE IT! And give it credibility and "respectability" and bring it out of the closet where everyone who used to keep that selfish antisocial and utterly Un-Christian crap to themselves can now stand up and be loud and proud about it! Thank you limbaugh, hate radio, Roger Ailes, and Pox Noise!

These are the conditions you created when you tried to push your idiot trickle-down economics on people, and convince them it'll work. Yeah! It'll WORK! This time it'll work! For sure! Believe me! This I can tell you.

This is what you're left with when you encourage sexism, racism, jingoism, and the worst and basest instincts of "humanity".

This is how it ends when you tilt the playing field, gerrymander the districts so the worst of the worst can easily get elected BY the worst of the worst, and then stay in power. So you've locked this inevitable conclusion in.

This is what happens when your having indulged and reveled in the worst, which inevitably then begets - and then births - the teabagger movement, with you as the collective midwife.

YOU BUILT THIS. Happy now?

On edit - I somehow forgot to add Pox Noise (and Roger Ailes) in the 4th paragraph. Shows how much all of this has started to get to me...

This is a problem for us. I have known (as have many others) that Trump cannot be Hillary. The GOP has an uphill battle to begin with but with Trump alienating people at every turn, it makes it unwinnable.

If they replace Trump with a moderate Republican, one that everyone likes, it may make for a challenge for Hillary.

I am not sure if this has ever been done before or how the GOP would accomplish this as their party will be fragmented beyond compare.

Wed Aug 3, 2016, 03:17 PM
Aug 2016

is the right one going forward. And it's not what President Obama said and I don't think it's what he wants. In fact he has said that many Trump supporters have legitimate grievances. It's just that they have hitched their wagon to the wrong star. And our nominee Hillary Clinton in her wisdom is actively campaigning for the support of Trump's white blue collar base.

We are all Americans or immigrants striving to become Americans. Republicans are our neighbors and our relatives. My parents are both staunch Republicans and they are some of the nicest people you could ever meet. And yes they support Donald Trump. But my mother is also the type of person who carries dog food around in the trunk of her car so she can pass it out to homeless people with pets that she encounters. And she also gives them handouts with information about various services in the community available to them. But yes she is a Republican. She has never known anything else. And while she doesn't approve of everything Trump says, she believes that things are so bad in this country that we need someone like Trump to stir things up. Of course she is dead wrong but she doesn't realize that.

I sense real anger and petulance in this OP. And I understand why. Many of the tactics employed by the Republicans over the years have bred division in this country, but don't you see that your attitude will only perpetuate that division? And what we need in this country right now is to come together, not move further apart.

So I got that off my chest. Now flame away if you wish.

seeing Republican leaders who have for too long danced with the Devil but not gone home with Him get hoist with their own petard.

To wit, Republicans now cannot repudiate Trump or they will be seen to have surrendered to President Obama and thereby lose the 35-40% of their base that are Trumpistas. On the other hand, if they fail to repudiate Trump, they risk losing the 55-60% of non-Trumpistas (the so-called 'moderate Republicans') who are ripe for the picking.

That's some serious payback to McChinless and Ryan for their stunts over the years.
