FLINT (WJRT) - (07/29/16) - More criminal charges were laid out Friday morning tied to the Flint Water Emergency.
Those charged include Adam Rosenthal, Patrick Cook, and Liane Shekter-Smith, all with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.
Nancy Peeler, Robert Scott, and Corinne Miller with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services have been charged as well.
The charges are as follows: Misconduct in Office, Conspiracy to Commit Misconduct, and Willful Neglect of Duty.
Attorney General Bill Schuette and a team of inverstigators will be in Flint at 11:30 a.m. to detail their latest effort to hold people accountable for the failures that led to the contamination crisis.
Previously, three other people were announced as facing criminal charges, while two companies face civil charges.

(22,165 posts)While I agree that the MDEQ officials and employees went along with this (wrong and prosecutable) .... he doesn't seem interested in going after the big fish that orchestrated this and put pressure on the DEQ to downplay the horrific water quality
