Sitting here, my wife and I, as 2200EDT approaches, feeling so very filled with good feelings,
a sense of history about to be made, anticipating a speech at a historic moment by a figure who will make that history.
We are filled with pride at being AMERICANS.
We're both old enough to appreciate, for WOMEN, how long this has been in coming. How long feminists stood proud. How much there was for women to overcome, how much still remains. We're old enough to appreciate the sheer magnitude of this moment.
It is damn near overwhelming.
