I wish the Clinton/Kaine campaign would start using this line: How can Trump say that he's the "law and order" candidate when he acts like he's above the law? Because he does, in his financial dealings. Or this line: It's got to be a lot easier to make money when you don't pay your bills!
Check out the latest episode. Bold added by me...
All because, according to the lawsuit, Trump allegedly tried to stiff The Paint Spot on its last payment of $34,863 on a $200,000 contract for paint used in the renovation of the home of golfs famed Blue Monster two years ago.

(4,447 posts)My post was about Trump. Not about DWS. I don't appreciate the attempt to hijack the thread with an anti-Clinton rant.

(4,234 posts)What a nice line to hit over and over. "What a deadbeat Trump is, Deadbeat Trump," and then, add, "When are you going to pay your $300,000 bill Donald? You owe it to the guy, the court has ruled in his favor, but you still haven't paid. When do you plan to pay your legal obligations under law?"
I could see this as something that could start to represent everything about Trump, "the liar and deadbeat par excellence."

(58,785 posts)the Republican Convention, where multiple people claimed Trump takes care of people. Uhuh. The convention and decision together just struck me not only as funny, but bizarrely appropriate.
And Trump's last-ditch effort to put away the RICO-sanctioned class action suit against him was LOST the day after the convention. He goes to trial November 28. After that come another two civil trials whose dates haven't been set yet.

(58,785 posts)Trump to win, or more accurately wanting Hillary to lose. I judge by actions not professions of virtue and CNN is DIRTY AS HELL, a disgrace to journalistic integrity.

(28,017 posts)But your attitude is not helping.
If you haven't noticed, her negatives are big (68%) and growing. Hillary's campaign has to take steps to change that. Hiring DWS as the honorary national head is not helping matters either.
The campaign has some problems, and a ton of potential advantages. The problems need to be addressed. Mentioning them and pointing them out is constructive, not negative.

It just shows that Trump thinks he's special, and he shouldn't be held to the same standards as every other person.

(4,447 posts)He does this all the time. I'll bet most of the people he does this to don't take it to court because they can't afford the time or the legal representation. I've already seen a video about a piano business and another about an architect who both got severely stiffed by Trump. He probably does this to several businesses per job and has probably done so for 40 years.
If this could just get out nationally, and get repeated over and over the way that Fox hammers their "stories" over and over, it would really resonate with a lot of the working class people planning to vote for him.

I wish the MSM and Democrats would bring things like this up.

(9,025 posts)Now that he is officially the nominee, the media (MSM and all the rest) should give Trump an extra-deep level of scrutiny. As short-tempered as Trump is, he's likely to explode multiple times until the GE.

(3,867 posts)deadbeat don says he wants to take care of the middle class, that just shows how well he would do that. We would all be screwed.
He takes advantage of the small business 'cause he knows they can't afford to sue him.
I'm sure the maggot will have sth to say about the judge of Latino decent, probably Cuban.
Clinton/Kaine need to make sure this news gets around there are plenty of others, some he pt out of business.

There should be ads detailing his version of 'law and order' ending with a simple statement -Don is a Con!

(4,447 posts)But I'd kind of like for our two candidates to stay away from it. I sure wouldn't mind if Elizabeth Warren started calling him Cheating Donald.
On Twitter: Cheating Donald stiffs another small business (link)
I think that would drive him crazy.

(24,703 posts)Herr Drumptf owes me money $34,863 to be exact, and I had to file a lawsuit, "WE" had a contract and he "stiffed" me out of $34,863, just imagine what he would do with the USA when it came to our contract obligations like with NATO, your service family members, etc......

I think, all of it would have to say, is have a picture of herr drumpf standing there with a wad of cash in both hands , and
underneath it saying this guy "stiffs' people and doesn't honor contracts of any kind like NATO, or have it with the mom and poop in Florida for $34,863 he stiffed them out of, or tried to stiff out of them, and have a picture of them used by and with permission

(24,703 posts)and just think it can be tied to Marco Rubio, since herr drumptf is there leader, and he did kinda come out and support the "stiff"
Better yet have him laying in a bed of cash, and under neath it, saying he "stiffs" mom and pops out of $34,683 dollars, imagine what he would do to the USA .

(4,447 posts)But we also need a couple of bumper-sticker style comments repeated over and over by our candidates and their surrogates. Repetition of the same short messages is probably the most effective tool of Republican campaigns and we need to try to use it, too. Except be truthful.

(58,673 posts)Trump knowingly defaulted, because he thought the original 38k payment was not enough. He stiffed the guy, knowing that it would result in a much larger settlement, thus generously supporting the small business in the suit.
You see? Trump is an angel, always looking out for the other guy.
