...and then stay up overnight, it sucks when things slow down in the overnight and you get used to the slow pace...and then when things pick up again you have to struggle to keep up.
Just an idle observaton on behalf of those of us who are so afflicted by this terrible malady. I feel your pain, my friends.

(112,284 posts)but I was criticized for posting too much in the state groups. Just imagine what people would say if I only posted photos of my cats!

(25,554 posts)When I'm in the mood to post it's evening here and the middle of the night there when things are really slow. The next morning when I look, it's been busy for a day and everybody seems to know everything that's been going on and I'm confused. I dislike OP's that don't give details and I have to root around trying to figure out what happened or what so-and-so said. Also, I end up being one of last ones to post on long threads and it makes me feel as if my comment killed the thread or something, like a curse. A thread-murder.

(53,339 posts)Okay just kidding, but I couldn't resist.
When I stay up late or overnight I really notice the change from a lot of activity to the doldrums and back again.
When the pace is fast I'm really into it and I'm spinning from thread to thread and keeping up with it all. After a slowdown, when the pace gets hot again I'm left behind until I work back up to the pace. And that's a lot harder after accommodating myself to a slow and leisurely pace.

(111,292 posts)and right now is one of those times. It sucks because everybody else is sleeping instead of posting. Even international sites slow down because people are at work and doing their jobs instead of screwing off on the net. Woe is us.

I'm one of those who sleeps 40 minutes, is up an hour, and so on, nearly every night.
