Said this as a reply to a post. Now I am sayint for all...
We must fight Trump and fight hard right now. We can work on party issues AFTER we stomp Anti-Christ/Hitlers second coming/ Putin's "Freaky"-me Trump.
We must be united, and be united right now, for the sake of our country, our families, for all we believe.
We all know the saying, " A house divided CAN NOT stand".

(22,037 posts)Your lack of interest- and explanation for such a position- is lacking from your post.
Kindly share your thoughts.
Thanks.

(22,037 posts)My question to Sherman A1 was to explain why he was posting on a Democratic website when they wrote, "just really lacking much of any interest." Then why post? Please explain the point of the non-interested post.
leftstreet, I don't have any litmus test. But you might explain your snark in order for readers to comprehend what you mean.
Thank you.

(260 posts)and I will vote for HRC in November because there is simply too much at stake to do otherwise. But I will always hold on to my belief that Bernie was the better candidate with the better agenda (and the better person).

(46,179 posts)Truly amazing, how NOW unity is "everything." AFTER having burned bridges in 360 degrees.
Some are STILL burning them.
But unity is "everything."
In my decades of voting, "unity" has come to mean exactly this: "Shut up, get in line, vote as you are told, and like it, you loser."
I think most of the people being subjected to that call for "unity" are going to vote against Trump. For many, it's not about unity. It's not about Clinton. It's not about the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party is a house divided.
It's just about Trump.

(23,272 posts)Between the pressures of climate change and massive income inequality combinedwith the civil war on the Republican side, I think party realignments are imminent.

(8,224 posts)if you want unity on the end, treat the other side as a legitimate choice entitled to the "neutrality" promised.
I am on board with beating Trump, but pretty disgusted with the whole process.

(14,120 posts)Time to shake up the party after the election. Time for fighting among ourselves after the election.
If we are not a united front now. If we keep yelling at one another and showing the other side that there is a fracture they may use ( will use) , or be the generation that destroys the U.S.
The country has not face this kind of threat. Trump is a danger to all things. He thinks running a country is just like a business. That it is fine to hurt people if it makes a profit. He thinks he can do whatever because he thinks he would be the boss.
So we can either argue later or fight now and risk the United States lost.

(8,224 posts)Now we can cover the pile in unicorn and daisy print gift wrap, spray some febreeze around, and attempt to pretend it doesn't exist. However the media will not be so easily distracted.
Alternately, we can take out the trash now and be done with it. I think we are better off finding a resolution now and moving on to win.
Of course, it would be vastly better for the issue to not exist. Unfortunately that would seem to have required more integrity than existed at the DNC.
