so the lie about Melania's speech is now

Just now on faux news

The speech writer was on the phone to someone from the trump's organization , the writer started talking about
speeches that she loved, she mentioned Michelle Obama in 2008, the person from the
trump organization wrote it down on a piece of paper, and the papers must of gotten mixed up.

Nothing to see here, a non story says Faux news.

"The papers got mixed up." The lies will continue until the press gives up and stops asking about it.

Makes about as much sense as this non-explanation. And I'm betting "Meredith McIver" is another John Barron.

This story shouldn't die. It should become part of the broad stroke narrative of why Donald Trump is fundamentally incapable of being president.

However, my point is this: The who, what, why, where and when of Plagiargate don't matter. The important point is that Donald Trump's campaign is so inept and disorganized that they couldn't handle the most lightweight part of the convention. I mean, when the spouse presents their partner, we don't expect extraordinary oratory. It's a fluff piece.

The story got interesting when the screw up came to light and these not-quite-ready-for-the-big-leagues dolts fumbled for a day and a half. The result was that the organizational brilliance that Mr. Trump boasts of has been called into question.

So, this little story involving the wife of the Republican nominee is merely another indication of Mr. Trump's ineptness and inability to be president.

Laura PourMeADrink, this is just one more piece of the incredible jigsaw puzzle that Hillary Clinton will be able to assemble and present to the American electorate. My earlier post was meant to put this relatively minor story into the perspective of the larger issues that will come into focus after Labor Day.

Meanwhile, let's enjoy tonight's screw ups and, if I could, I'd pour you a couple of drinks.

And what you say is what the analysts are saying too.

My point of view though, is more about the lying and cover up- which gets into the weeds, granted. But, still goes to character (lack there of).

Also think there's a human relations component that I find interesting. Trump's kids tried to push a canned speech from a well respected speechwriter and Melania threw it away. Why, would you do that unless you were trying to prove you aren't as dumb as all the family thinks you are. My guess now is that Melania did the best she could and if they read, would have had no personal knowledge/recollection of Michelle's words and didn't know enough about plagiarism checking. McIver, being an author, would have - so she took the fall and had nothing to do with the whole thing, probably.

Last night was what dreams are made of !!
