Like Watergate, the cover-up is what was important...

Had they stated, from the beginning, that they would investigate what had occurred and limited their comments to that pending this surfacing it would have been appropriate. No, they chose the Nixon route which demonstrates a fatal flaw right out of the gate. This IS important.

Of course, speculation is that Meredith McIver is as real as Trump when he would troll as a publicist. McIver=MacGyver? Hmmm...

If McIver actually exists, and is employed by Trump's businesses, then they're violating federal statutes. If she works for the company, she can't work for the campaign.

He was in total denial mode right up to this morning on CNN with Chris Cuomo. And he tried to blame the Clinton campaign for the accusation when they were totally silent on it. If Meredith McIver is telling the truth, then Manafort clearly has been lying.

The clever Rickroll reference demonstrated malicious intent and I believe McIver did not insert it. Trump et al. got punked and they are pissed; there is a Rat in their camp and they have no clue who it is. Sweet!

Or you could just leave. Clean out your desk and leave. You don't have to be "approved" to leave a job. You just don't show up. It's not like she was the star of a hit sitcom. I've worked in politics for years...there are thousands of eager, intelligent campaign workers hungry to help out any campaign.

is also associated with Watergate, though it is most certainly an invention of the screenwriter. Anyway it would be interesting to see if this fall person just deposited, say $50,000, in newly created offshore account. Drumpf knows all about them.

Of course this would depend if she is real at all.
