That would make this the single deadliest attack committed by a single individual in the history of the western world.
Now what do we do about it?

(62,530 posts)At large events, at least here in the states, the areas for people to gather at such events like this, roads are cordoned off and blocked with dump trucks full of rocks.
This way trucks such as the one used in France can't gain easy access to area.
I've seen it this tactic deployed several times.

Recall Truman OKed the dropping of two atomic bombs.
Various POTUS have OKed military actions with more casualties since.
Wars maybe are never OK for common people.
There is a "war' in progress, maybe not a war specifically against militant Islam, but a war against some people nonetheless.
