If Trump is elected and the Republicans control congress, Trump may be impeached on day one.

(28,795 posts)then, the press came back to him in a rush, after the Comey BS. that was all the excuse they needed to start to turn....THEN, the violence. that finished it. Trump, meet Nixon, ca. 1968. that's it....game over. they're back in his corner, IGNORING those disastrous performances in Cincinnati and Indiana.
it should be over for him by now, but they're not only disemboweling HRC, but they're actively PROTECTING him, giving no legs at all to stories like the one about that sleazy salesman that CNN interviewed about Trump U. have they been discussing it today at all?
CNN did it twice yesterday; msnbc mentioned it, but that was IT for them, afaik. contrast that to the feeding frenzy, and active MISINFORMATION re: Ginsburg, and the supposed lack of a precedent for a SCOTUS actively, vocally involving himself in partisan politics. today's threads have disproven that, along with Lawrence OD's segment last night on the ones who have run for governor and PRESIDENT, while they were STILL on the bench!
EDIT, didn't finish: he doesn't need him now, with the press firmly in his corner again. maybe he's too stupid to realize it, but I don't think Manafort/Stone are. I'll be very surprised if he's the one. I don't think it matters anymore. my extremely pessimistic side tells me it's over, because of the lawnorder/Nixon factor. it's a tidal wave of violence-bread fear among the herd. they want a big, bad, mean, nasty daddy to take care of them, and they don't care what the consequences are. they just want to be "safe" on their couches, so they can watch the bachelor and judge judy. that's all they care about. think I'm exaggerating? just watch the polls.

the baggage they all have, including pence, is enormous.
newt and Christie's is obvious, and pence's horrendous press fiasco wrt the religious freedom bill was analyzed by Rachel last night in depth:
