Now 18 years old, the man testified that he began going to summer camps run by Sanduskys Second Mile charity when he was about 11 years old. After attending several camps, he said, he began to have regular contact with Sandusky, frequently sleeping at his house when there were no other children there. He said Sandusky made numerous sexual advances toward him while he slept in the former coachs basement. He said Sandusky performed oral sex on him and encouraged him to do the same to him.
Questioned over 55 minutes by the prosecutor Joseph McGettigan, the accuser broke down crying several times. McGettigan paused to let him gather himself.

The often sobering account was followed by an aggressive cross-examination by Sanduskys lawyer, Joseph Amendola, who attempted to show that the alleged victim had told different versions of his story to state troopers, psychologists and the grand jury.
The man admitted to telling different investigators and grand juries different numbers for how often he had oral sex with Sandusky.

Amendola is going to claim they all got together and made this up so they can get money in a lawsuit. Nobody in their right mind would want to relive these experiences in open court. These people are probably having nightmares. It never goes away.
Sandusky needs to be locked away until the end of time. His enablers need to be locked in with him.

(100,079 posts)Sandusky is done - he's got zero defense. What really sucks is that Penn State rioted and Joe Paterno got a hero's funeral and people just look the other way while this monster is able to get away with what he did. It's going to get far more disturbing in the end but he will get his just desserts.

(12,882 posts)sports outweighs just about everything else. That's why so many of the kids my wife sees as a teacher, are dead sure they're gonna grow up and get rich in pro sports. The jocks are heros - the braniacs, not so much.
