Fox pushing Giuliani for Trump V.P.?

Surfing the news channels, I tuned into Fox News for about five minutes where I saw Judge Alex Ferrer (from the old TV court room show 'Judge Alex') sitting on the couch with four women.
I used to like his TV show, but now it appears he's earning his pay bashing Obama, Clinton, and the 'Democrat Party'.
(i.e. He said "The truth gets stuck in Clinton's throat.&quot

The group seemed to be united in thinking Trump should choose former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani as his Vice Presidential candidate. Both Trump and Giuliani are from New York.

I thought the Presidential candidate and V.P candidate have to be from different states?

Didn't Cheney quickly move to Wyoming so he could be W's VP?

Rudy is just as loathsome and as much of a moral slagheap as Gingrich, so why not?

"The electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for two persons, of whom one at least shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves." - U.S. Constitution.

I think that they would have to concede New York. But, that may be acceptable for them.

They MIGHT take that risk -- NY is pretty blue, so they are completely unlikely to win it except in a blow out election.

Consider the possibilities - HRC wins NY as expected ... no problem she gets the delegates

Trump wins NY. For this there are various possibilities:

HRC has enough delegates in spite of losing NY, she wins the Presidency.

Trump wins NY AND has enough delegates from the typical Republican states and their swing states, he wins the Presidency

He somehow won NY and neither he or HRC have enough delegates without the NY ones. The election gets thrown to the House of Representatives -- which likely picks Trump -- as the Republicans are in charge.

Of these four possibilities, the first (HRC winning NY) is the most likely. Because Trump winning NY, but not as part of a landslide is so unlikely, the second and fourth are very unlikely. This suggests that while weird and risky -- remember though this is Trump -- it would seem that it costing him would be extremely unlikely.

Now -- if they were both from Texas -- it would hurt very badly.
