Republicans Actively Sabotaging US Economy to Win Election

http://blog.buzzflash.com/node/13542

Let's be blunt. Leaders of the Republican Party- including their Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney - have moved from "rooting against" our economy to actively attempting to sabotage the economy of the United States.

They believe that their chances of defeating President Obama, taking control of the Senate, and maintaining control of the House of Representatives materially improve if the economic recovery stalls. And they aren't just standing around hoping that a European financial collapse or higher oil prices will send the economy into a second recession - they are actively trying to make it happen.

It is astonishing, but today the surest way to make certain that a piece of legislation is deep-sixed by the Republicans in Congress is to demonstrate that it will help create jobs in the American economy.

The first concrete example involves actual concrete -- the reauthorization of the Transportation Bill that provides funding for roads, bridges and mass transit projects across the country.

(snip)

Romney's is betting that he voters won't notice that they guy who claims he's racing in with the fire hose is the same one that set the fire. We can't let that happen.

(end snip)

Remember this?

"Well we’re going to have to hang the Obama Misery Index around his neck. "

NC and VA have both implemented King Canute Laws to make rising sea levels illegal. Let's see how many southern coastal states repeat these King Canute Laws.

I'd like to see all of them do it.

For desperate people this tells me there are no opportunities under Obama who is perpetually handicapped by Republicans. That makes the only viable option Republicans.

Clinton found a way to outsmart Gingrich and make it work for him. Obama's problem is he hasn't figured out how to do this and he never may.

Clinton did have a mega funded TEA PARTY and citizens united to deal with...then again, it';s not like Clinton did not give away a lot of the store himself to the rich.

That should do it.

need for assistance, prevent people from having jobs that could pay for their home. It would weaken us, and perhaps over the long-term cause more damage than anything we could do.

But most of all it would crush the human spirit that we invested lives and money to build for the first half of the last century.

This kind of thinking could lead us to guidance that we use false and inflated housing values on bank balance sheets so the country looks more prosperous than it is, while 12 million home loans are underwater and praising junk bond salesman.

Who would do that?

There's another wage-lowering, union-busting, let's-ship-manufacturing-jobs-to-foreign-contries "free-trade" agreement in the works. Called by some to be NAFTA on steriods. The super-rich don't have enough. They want even more. And there are those who want to give it to them.

"...he has indeed nothing more than the power that you confer upon him to destroy you. Where has he acquired enough eyes to spy upon you, if you do not provide them yourselves? How can he have so many arms to beat you with, if he does not borrow them from you? The feet that trample down your cities, where does he get them if they are not your own? How does he have any power over you except through you?

How would he dare assail you if he had no cooperation from you?

... you can deliver yourselves if you try, not by taking action, but merely by willing to be free. Resolve to serve no more, and you are at once freed. I do not ask that you place hands upon the tyrant to topple him over, but simply that you support him no longer; then you will behold him, like a great Colossus whose pedestal has been pulled away, fall of his own weight and break into pieces?

Limbaugh ... "Look, what he’s talking about is the absorption of as much of the private sector by the U.S. government as possible, from the banking business, to the mortgage industry, the automobile business, to health care. I do not want the government in charge of all of these things. I don’t want this to work. So I’m thinking of replying to the guy, ‘Okay, I’ll send you a response, but I don’t need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails."

... "I would be honored if the drive-by media headlined me all day long: ‘Limbaugh: I Hope Obama Fails.’ Somebody’s gotta say it.”

The RushBots in Congress knew at once they had their orders from their Dear Leader
and they have been obediently doing their best to carry them out ever since.

We know they were planning the moment after the networks reported Senator Obama had won the presidency and had become President-Elect. And Mitch McConnell made it very clear his primary goal was to make President Obama a one-term president.

The swing voters aren't going to like that. People won't like that. All they have to do is be aware of it.
