My youngest child and the last to get married got married last night security we hired

because we had alcohol, we had to pay for a security guard (off duty policeman)

We had him sign the guest book, included him in a couple of pictures, made him a huge plate off the taco bar and kept him full of water and soda.

In the end we had quite a bit extra of those pretty wedding sixlets in the wedding colors.

I took the extra to him and told him he could use them how ever he wanted. He thanked me and said he would probably take them back to the substation to share if that was alright.

the wedding was beautiful loving and fun.

The officer said it was the easiest 5 hours he had ever put in and thanked us for including him in those little ways. I don't know if it matters or not, but the officer was black and the entire wedding was white. He said he had a nice evening and loved the food and being asked to sign the guest book and had never had a photo with the bride and groom before

We are part of this race - the HUMAN race. I know many black people, and we are all alike, raising families, paying bills, struggling to make ends meet. We should treat each other with respect, always. Best wished to the bride and groom.

8. Security because of Alcohol?

My daughter's Wedding Reception was last Thursday. They were actually married 3 years ago but could only now afford the party. They had this at a County Club which had 2 other weddings going on at the same time. Alcohol was served as they traveled from outside to inside and to different rooms. They had 150 people.

My Daughter's was a Gay Wedding. The other two Receptions were Jewish and Black. There was no Security at any of them. The Jewish Reception had over 300 people. We went inside (crashed it?) for a time to watch their Light Show.

BTW, my daughter works in Security and so do a few of her friends who were at her reception. Two in the Bridal Party (male and female) were with the National Guard. None were armed at the Reception. Did the Club have Security? I did not see any.

Hiring Security for Weddings?

people in the community and the police need to get to know each other. Things like this go a long way towards peace and trust.

on Thursday, our home town suffered 2 tornadoes.

The church where we grew up was destroyed as were several homes and grain store/elevator.

one of my sisters had a giant tree land on the back of their home. As of tonight, it is still there as other structures were way worse

The wedding was beautiful and made everyone forget for a little while their troubles

blacks for that matter. The Police was first set up for slave patrol and that mentality has been perpetuated to this day. They don't have white supremacy to protect them so they have to be careful. It is also sad that police officers have to moon light because they are not paid well especially that of black officers. I am not surprised. BLACK LIVES MATTER
