I finally saw the romney response ad ...
to President Obama's "the private sector is doing just fine" comment.
It occurred to me that President Obama and Democrats should not back away from that ad, and could probably expand on it by saying, "I agree with everything that you, the American Worker, have said ... 'You are NOT doing fine; but is your boss?'"
How many private sector workers have seen their co-workers laid off; while the boss got a bonus? How many private sector workers have watched their wages be frozen or cut; while the boss comes in driving his new porsche, or brings in pictures of his/her latest Carribean vacation on his new yacht? How many private sector workers have seen their benefits/401Ks cut; while the company buys back its shares?
It is not difficult to point to examples of where companies/owners/investors are making plenty of money, by cutting back on their workers. And it is not difficult to tie romney to exactly this state of affairs ... because that WAS his business model at Bain.
Just like OWS tried to break the wallstreet/mainstreet connection, we need to break the private sector is the American Worker connection by pointing out that, in both cases, the former often works in opposition to the latter.
