Because they started out okay but quickly turned into Suzy Stackhouse Gets (Yet Another) Boyfriend. *Yawn*

I stopped reading around the time the were-tiger dude was introduced - it seemed predictable that she'd have to date this next, new guy. And sure enough the next book cover has her riding through the air on a tiger. Blah.

But I liked what I saw of the show. Can't go wrong with the main character listening to Tuvan Throat Singers.

The were-tiger hasn't showed yet and may never. The first season was the closest to stick with the first book, but the books quickly became simply source material to mine. Definitely watch the series if you think you can get into it. It is hella soapy, though.

the books get really interesting, particularly with the fairy story lines. She pretty much hooks up with Eric and that is the end of the rotating boyfriends.

about getting cable. They have a couple of seasons of True Blood at the local library and I've checked those out. I've checked out Harris' books too, but I enjoy the show just as much. If you miss any episodes, check to see if your library has them.
