Lavish Reynolds' Facebook Video Shows Police Shooting of Philando Castile in Minnesota

Lavish Reynolds' Facebook Video Shows Police Shooting of Philando Castile in Minnesota

An extremely graphic video posted to Facebook Wednesday night appears to show the bloody, harrowing aftermath of the police shooting of a black man, who is identified at least once in the video as "Phil" and whose identity was later confirmed by WCCO-CBS Minnesota as 32-year-old Philando Castile, in Falcon Heights, Minnesota.

The video, which was live-streamed to Facebook by a woman who identifies online as Lavish Reynolds, opens with Castile, drenched in blood, lying nearly motionless, eyes open and breathing, in the driver's seat of a car. Reynolds, who states in the video that she is the Castile's girlfriend, sits next to him in the passenger's side seat and narrates the events that follow.

"We got pulled over for a busted taillight in the back," Reynolds says in the beginning of the Facebook Live video. "The police just, just...he's covered."

"He's licensed to carry," Reynolds explains of Castile, "He was trying to get out his ID and his wallet out his pocket, and he let the officer know that he had a firearm, and he was reaching for his wallet, and the officer just shot him in his arm."

"I told him not to reach for it, I told him to get his hands up," an audibly distressed police officer can be heard screaming outside of the car in the video.

About sixty seconds into the video, Castile appears to stop moving. "Oh my God, please don't tell me he's dead," Reynolds says, "Please don't tell me my boyfriend just went like that.

"You shot four bullets into him, sir," she continues, "He was just getting his license and registration, sir."

My son called me early on to alert me to the video on FB.
I am so sick and tired of these trigger happy racist police I could scream.
Is there no end?
I hope to wake up tomorrow and find our president speaking to this and having a plan to address the atrocity that is police brutality on the black race.
I hope to hear speakers address it in the house and the senate.
I want to hear our presidential candidate express disgust and present a plan to correct the vile and corrupt murdering gang of those we rely on to serve and protect.
I am sure I will be disappointed and that is just as sickening as the violence we continue to witness from the police across this nation.
I feel we have more to fear from our police than Isis. The enemy is among us.

I'm not even sure what can change the behavior of these armed uniformed goon squads.

Certainly no "elected" officials will be brave enough to.
