Argghh!

Just got into a spat with a guy on facebook. I know, I know. . .arguing with conservatives, bad idea. These morons have got it figured out that the reason Detroit is in crappy shape is because of Democratic local government, not the fact that the US government has been center-right to right since 1980. Furthermore, they think that "every country that's ever tried liberalism has failed." How do these people have sense enough to breath?

Funny how when Reagan and his ilk came to power things went to shit.

Yeah, I know things weren't great from the mid-'70s on, but that's about the time the corporatist, right-wing reaction was beginning to surge...coincidence?
