The libertarians in my local parade were playing "This Land Was Made For You and Me"

Woody Guthrie is rolling in his grave.

They must not know much about that song and Mr. Guthrie.

I was the lone liberal among the bunch.

they would scream out Springsteen's, "Born in the USA" knowing only the chorus.

Later when I told them the actual lyrics other than the chorus, they were all surprised and, funny enough, got pissed at me for "ruining" the song for them.

I got out of Nassau County as fast as I could.
