Not sure they were bored - more like their version of the resistance movement. As we both know and say there are always more than two sides to war - let alone an illegal one.

but more than a few of us knew what would happen after the illegal invasion and occupation.

When we were bombing up their malls, their universities, and their entire fugging country, what the fugg did we expect - garlands of flowers - oh yes Rumsfeld and Cheney expected that.

After Paul Bremmer fired them all from military and police service and DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO DISARM FIRST. It took less than a week and the first IED directed at American forces went off. Bremmer STILL thinks the de-Baathifacation of Iraqi government was the best decision he made as Provincial Governer.

Because he's an Idiot.

The Secret History of ISIS

We had an opportunity to take out Zarqawi. But, as that was during the lead-up to the Iraq war, well, we know what their priorities were.

And I'm with you on this

I don't expect the world to come together in solidarity, either...

People often recommend Vice to me, but Frontline is so much better and I recommend Frontline back to them. Vice is like Frontline for people with short attention spans. Just not enough information can be crammed into 10-12 minutes before the next commercial break.

They've suffered so much misery over the past decade or so. I hope things get better for them in the future.

when he invaded and occupied Iraq. I believe it. We could have given every Iraqi their per capita income for years with what the war cost us, and probably gotten a lot better results.

It was a disaster and it continues to be a disaster. I don't think most Americans know what was done in their name.
