I was surfing the tv stations, looking for something to watch; I came across a documentary about the life of Queen Elizabeth, from birth to the present day. One segment, about present time, posited the government (and the royals) were being subjected to ridicule and outright falsehoods. The program showed ten to fifteen people (aristocrats, middle class and working class) being interviewed and asked for their opinion of what was happening in their country. Each and everyone of those folks responded "Rupert Murdoch..." and then proceeded to explain his impact on the culture and politics. It was an eye-opening program.
