There has been a 200% increase in immigration from the US to Canada during the Great Recession.

"However, in an interesting turn of events, between 2009 and 2011, Canada has experienced a 200% increase in immigrants moving from the U.S. to Canada due to the thriving Canadian economy and stable political and banking landscape."

If you don't have a job lined up or you have serious medical issues, you're stuck in America.

It's easier to come to America than to leave, but it's very difficult to get out of here.

to Canada recently. He can run his business just as easily there and instead of living in a crackerbox in a seedy neighborhood, he and his GF are buying a ranch.

I'll miss him (he is a 10), but I understand his decision.
