Franklin Graham Hails Brexit Because, the Anti-Christ

http://www.thenewcivilrightsmovement.com/davidbadash/franklin_graham_hails_brexit_because_the_bible

Franklin Graham manages to see biblical prophesy everywhere he goes, in every world event. In Brexit, the disastrous, xenophobic, ultra-nationalistic vote by the British to leave the European Union, Graham hails it as a setback for the anti-Christ, and reveals his anti-immigrant beliefs to boot.

"It’s historic," Graham wrote on Facebook Friday. "Last night the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union."

"With the breakdown of immigration laws and economies, millions of Europeans feel that their politicians have failed them. Boris Johnson, one of UK’s most popular leaders of the #?Brexit movement hailed the results as a 'glorious opportunity,'" he writes. Johnson, it should be noted, is being compared to Donald Trump, but smart.

Adding that it's unclear what the Brexit "vote means long-term," Graham says, "I know that this is at least a temporary setback for the politicians in this country and around the world who want a one-world government and a one-world currency."

Except that there's just one degree and everyone that Franklin Graham doesn't agree with is the anti Christ.

10. There's no reference to "the Anti-Christ" in the Bible to begin with

There are references to "anti-Christs" (plural), and to "an anti-Christ spirit".

Americans (and Britons) have historically had an obsession with linking the notion of the "anti-Christ spirit" with the Son of Perdition in John and the Beast in Daniel, and finding a particular contemporary figure it is supposed to represent. It's really not a hobby anywhere else in the Christian world, and is kind of fascinating.

4. The EU has long been shoehorned into lunatic antichrist visions

using, for instance, the 12 stars in the EU flag.

The EU flag is apparently 50 years old today. Hurrah!
...
In fact, thanks to a political spat between France and Germany, the number 12 was supposedly chosen precisely BECAUSE it was utterly meaningless.

Which in itself could be significant – hence the various conspiracy theories among the nuttier members of the anti-EU community who’ll occasionally come out with nonsense about zionist or masonic or Catholic symbolism and the like. Which is always entertaining.

The fact that one of the possible designers went on record about the Virgin Mary being his inspiration has led to various nutjobs quoting the Book of Revelation, 12:1 –
“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars”

...
Aaaah… Conspiracy theorists. Gotta love ’em. Is the EU a revival of the Holy Roman Empire as predicted in the Book of Daniel? Well, erm, no – but it still makes for an amusing read. Is the EU the antichrist, merely a sign that the antichrist is coming to power, or his future base? Well, why not, eh? Sounds like a laugh…

Their phobia of anything that smacks of world government (the UN, the EU, any international agreement they don't like) has more to do with bad movies they watched at Wednesday night youth group than it does with the bible.

Seriously, A Thief in the Night, etc are on YouTube. Watch them and tell me I'm wrong.
