Scarborough is un-watchable this a.m. I knew when I saw Nicole Wallace what kind of a day

it would be. No Mika, not that that matters much, but it is the Morning Republican show. Mark Halperin and Nicole just shredding POTUS on "the private sector is fine" ad nauseum, Joe chiming in on how Rmoney is improving on the campaign trail. Went to Bill Press, good show.

There is very little discussed on cable news that really has any bearing on any of our individual (or collective) lives.

But very little of it hits the level of utter crap coming from the talking heads on TV.
And if I don't like what I'm reading, I can hit the back button and find a different thread.

These are the policy makers and influence pushers. They are pushing the memes that DO have direct bearing on our everyday lives. Just cheering on anything Obama does is hiding your head in the sand.

Hi, I'm NW, have we met?

Joe "Dead Intern" Scabs doesnt influence shit. It's political soap opera to think that they have any effect on you nor do you have any affect on them.

There are a number of DUers on this thread -- and Dems in general -- who jump up and turn the channel the moment someone utters an opinion which differs from their own. This merely compounds the "problem," IMHO. I know what I agree with...I tend to learn more when I hear the opinions of others, not just from those I already agree with. Know your enemy...these guys are the same assholes that go on every one of the tv shows that America does watch, and therefore they have influence, whether we like hearing it or not.

It is nauseating. Now has yet another GOPper on blaming Obama for everything, after some UK guy saying he believes Obama is working behind the scenes in the European crisis and is going to fuck up everything. This show is shameful. Yeah, "liberal" MSNBC my ass!

But they did go for Obama's throat on the "private sector is fine" comment. They compared it to John McCain's "fundamentals of our economy" are doing fine during the 2008 economic crisis.

He fell flat on his face with his attempt this morning. He and Nicole Wallace were having a good ol' time dreaming about how this comment was going to destroy Barack Obama.

Good move going to Bill Press show!

It is another foolish, stupid, news show. Why bother to watch when you know the bastards are going to be lying to you anyway, and you have better things to do with your time? Why continue to feed the beast?

acknowledge Jon Stewarts eviceration of him on the NY Times story he ranted about for 20 full minutes last Thursday. He screwed up in a major way - got clocked first by Willie then by Jon and didn't even have the grace to admit he was wrong.

MJ is so horrible this morning -- they're already re-running the Halperin/Wallace segment -- that I changed the channel. Much to my surprise, CNN-Fox Lite was trying to give Obama a fair shake.

They did then drag Bay Buchanan out from under a rock, who went into full rabid dog attack mode, but Soledad actually stood up to her and told her she was wrong, and was quite forceful in pushing back at her misstatements and lies, something you'll NEVER see on MJ, unless Mika has been hitting the vodka.

Bill Moyers interview with Marty Kaplan. Big business is in control and we will only see what they want us to see. If you want the facts, you will have to find them for yourself. This is why most Americans are so misinformed on the issues.
