Meryl Streep donned orange face and a fat suit for the role of a lifetime portraying braggart campaigner Donald Trump.
The award-winning actress, 66, bellowed an inspired twist on Cole Porters Brush Up Your Shakespeare as the presumed Republican presidential nominee during the Public Theaters 2016 Gala finale.
She fashioned her hair after Trump and let her bold red tie hang low while joining Tony-winner Christine Baranski on stage at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park for a duet from the musical Kiss Me Kate.
Youll let me know, why all the women say no, Streep sang during the annual event paying tribute to playwright William Shakespeare.

(33,345 posts)He wears expensive suits which can hide a multitude of sins - notice that you rarely see him without a jacket on. But he's overweight by a good 30-40 lbs.

(7,888 posts)Meryl Streep is the best, most diverse, multi-talented actor in Hollywood, imo. Of course, I'm a Shakespeare fan as well.
My favourite British actor would be Dame Helen Mirren. Dame Mirren was interviewed in the past few months by Stephen Colbert. She kissed him on the lips and was quite giddy.

(66,393 posts)Helen Mirren!...
That was one of the most erotic things I've ever seen on TV; a simple kiss.
Colbert later told her he must be the most envied man in America. I can attest that I envied the hell out of him at that moment.
