Trumpy is not going to stop his hate, these protest rallies will get bigger and
bigger.
I wouldnt be surprised if there is extreme violence on election day.
And of course Faux News will show one side committing it.

(50,986 posts)pertinent, as violence seems to follow Trump out on the campaign trail.
Very frankly I accuse him of stochastic incitement. Others are involved as well, but he's supposed to be the one applying for a leadership position in government.
He's past 'oaf' and 'bully' and is well into violent sociopathy, IMO.

(50,986 posts)I wish the country wasn't where it is with someone like Trump, because even though I appeared to single him out, his supporters are quite suggestible to his misogyny and ethnic and racial hatred, and they sing the backup vocals to whatever he says.
The media has been complicit as well. And I want the Republican Party to accept their share of the blame for subversion and polarization for the last several decades.

(154,021 posts)and by the way, percentage wise, it is like a 85-15 split, but we all need to look inside.
I see it here. people absolutely hate republcians (and bernie supporters), but cannot see how that hate does not help.
I cover this shit, so we try to talk to people on all sides. I know what drives some of the Trump supporters, and it is the same things that drives many others, Economic insecurity.
And if Trump is elected, we are talking seeking refuge somewhere else.

(50,986 posts)has more support than someone like him should ever possibly have. But this might be a momentary flicker. As the summer and fall wear on, I think the stress and complexity of a national campaign will undo him. He certainly lacks the temperament of a seasoned politician. He lacks the grace of the average 9-year old.
Ultimately he will realize that to win, he must have the majority support of the constituencies he's spent the last 12 months alienating and holding up to scorn and ridicule. Those voting constituencies can have very long memories.
My hope is that this overwhelms what's left of his judgment and he delivers a prime-time melt-down.

(50,986 posts)extreme. I hope the voters have their wits about them and reject Trump by large margins.
A landslide rejection, for example, would be great, with Trump losing big and taking down all kinds of down-ballot Republicans with him. Particularly the ones who have endorsed his candidacy. (That means you, Marco Rubio.) My god even Jon Huntsman is on board. Yuck.
There's news this evening of the 7-year old Japanese boy who made it through the mountain wilderness to safety, some four or five miles from where his parents dropped him off. I strongly doubt that Donald Trump would have fared as well in the same mountains.

(2,329 posts)if the same thing were happening outside HRC events, would we be blaming her?
We've gotten to a point where violent protests are, somehow, acceptable means to show support for tolerance.

(50,986 posts)His events are marked by dust-ups, shoving, verbal stochastic incitements, and racial and ethnic slurs.
If he did not condone those behaviors, he could say so at any time.

Not going to happen, ever.

And a significant percentage of modern-day Republicans seem psychiatrically unstable. Certain Republican Senators come to mind, for example. Say, from Arkansas.
