Trump loses PGA Tour event in Miami
DUBLIN, Ohio — The Trump National Doral Miami will not host a PGA Tour event next year, according to media reports and Donald Trump.
Butch Buchholz, tournament chairman of the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship at Trump National, told the Miami Herald that the PGA Tour informed him Tuesday night that a decision has been made for the tournament to leave South Florida.
According to Golf Channel, who cited unnamed sources inside the Trump organization and the PGA Tour, the WGC event will be played at Club de Golf Chapultepec near Mexico City and sponsored by the Grupo Salinas conglomerate.
