I was 9 when Reagan replaced Carter and I didn't know any better and certainly didn't question it. I don't think children are that involved in politics as a whole.

They're not "involved" with politics outside of the home, but they have a fair understanding of the issue as a whole.
Certainly more than I had at their age, and certainly more than many voting-age adults I know, alas.

It would saying nothing to our children, since based on the photos, you're expecting us to upset because one family is very different that the other.
We shouldn't be comparing the families, because it isn't about the families. Compare the candidates and their policies.
