Democratic Senator Issued Shocking Statements About 1%ers Protecting Their Wealth at Oligarch Confab

Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) earlier this month urged the business class to band together and influence politics because their collective success means they “have an outsized ability to affect what happens in Washington.”

“If you don’t think the frustration of Americans with our overall system—not just our political system, but our business system, our tax code—is at the boiling point, then Katie, bar the door!” Warner said. “The walls that are gonna have to be built, may not be at borders, they may be around neighborhoods the way they are in many Third World countries around the world.”

Speaking on a panel at the Milken Institute’s 2016 Global Conference, Warner—who, as a member of the bipartisan Gang of Six, dedicated a significant amount of his time advocating for a deficit-reduction plan that cut the corporate tax rate and curbed entitlement—bemoaned the failure of the “Grand Bargain,” a controversial plan that would have cut spending for Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security.

“We’d have gotten 70 votes if the establishments on both sides had not shot down our effort,” Warner said.

"If the Democratic Party would fight as hard for the Working Class as the Republican Party fights for the Ruling Class, the Republicans would be a powerless minority party within a few election cycles.

The Democratic Party knows this, the Republican Party knows this, the Ruling Class knows this- and they've been astonishingly successful at making sure the Working Class never learns this. ~ Anonymous

All he's doing is covering his ass for when the revolution comes to pass.

Let me paraphrase what Warner is now saying:

"Folks, we may have fucked up a bit here. Why don't we dial it back a bit to settle the masses. Once things have calmed down, we can go ahead and let 'er rip again."

buy the Democrats. The question we need to start finding answers for is "can they afford to buy a third party?"

Warner is like so many other politicians, they have their priorities.
1. Themselves
2. Their immediate families
3. The status quo
4. Their monetary supporters / ruling class
5. Friends and extended family
6. News media
7. Valuable politicians that can help them advance or obtain money
8. And finally, the voters, but just enough to win reelection

I don't see positions 1, 2, or 8 moving up or down but all the rest may be different depending upon the various politician in question.

Yes I can see him fitting right into a Hillary administration.

National. They have so much money and politicians are relatively cheap compared to the average return on investment which is several 100%.

We have to demand Publicly Funded Elections!!! We need to start recruiting candidates for the next midterms. Bernie supporters are going to centrally fund all of these House races. The candidates must hew to the principles espoused by Bernie, especially getting the money out of politics. They must be known for their integrity most of all!

Democratic Sen. Mark Warner of VA urges business elites, "we need Entitlement Reform, we need Tax Reform, it generates revenue. If you don't get engaged, you're turning the keys over to the extremes."
Democratic Sen. Mark Warner of Virginia called on an audience of business and political elites to respond to public discontent by lobbying harder for the reduction of corporate taxes and the cutting of public programs like SOCIAL SECURITY. Warner spoke Monday at the Milken Institute’s 2016 Global Conference, May 1-4. The economic policy think tank gathers politicians, corporate executives and others annually.

Wiki. Warner served as a staff member to U.S. Senator Christopher Dodd, also a Democrat from Connecticut in the early 1980s. He later used his knowledge of federal telecommunication law and policies as a broker of mobile phone franchise licenses, making a significant fortune. As founder and managing director of Columbia Capital, a venture capital firm, he helped found or was an early investor in a number of technology companies. He was one of the early investors in Nextel, co-founded Capital Cellular Corporation, and built up an estimated net worth of more than $200 million. They don't understand that Hillary is going to gut social programs.

It's the next big prize, and it will be given to Wall Street

After she signs the legislation screwing the working people of this nation, she'll shrug, roll her eyes and say, "The Republicans made me do it! What do you want from me, be happy with what you got."

Sanders won't win the nomination, nor will he be the president we badly need, but these express attitudes from DINO's in the traditional power structure are going to eventually get what's coming to them.

The anger in the country is real.
The stoking of racism and hatred on the right has led to Trump. He is not a cause, he is a reflection.

This kind of disregard for the working class and the middle class and anyone not in the "club" (that 0.1% or richer 'club') is going to explode eventually. To see it coming from someone nominally on the "left" is a little more jolting.

Walls will not protect them.
Private paramilitary guards will not save them.
The day of reckoning begins the moment that there are too many people with nothing left to lose.

I said it a few days ago and I say it again today - the man with nothing to lose is the single greatest weapon of mass destruction humanity can create and the ruling class around the globe is creating 100's of millions of them and no one on their side seems to recognize the inevitable outcome of that strategy.

I'm pretty sure that Marie Antoinette and her ilk thought the party would never end too...just sayin'...
