What changed? What did she do to lose her high esteem and support on the DU?

(72,790 posts)I like Boxer, but glad she is stepping down; I've thought she should a long time ago.
Change, new candidates, fresh ideas, new perspectives are always a good thing. CA should be able to nominate someone just as good as Boxer has been.
I respect and appreciate her service, even though I disagree with her on this most recent situation. I think it's proved she's lived in a political bubble for way too long.

(72,790 posts)Just think Boxer is out of touch. People are pissed, mad, angry, frustrated, upset about the current situation in this country. She said she was scared for her life. Fine. So are so many people struggling in this country.

(56,177 posts)You can't just storm in and think the rules don't apply to you...and the people at the convention weren't the ones struggling, a bunch of leftist facists who think only their votes and beliefs matter and Senator Deadbeat is lying and stoking the flames...he has never served any usefulness and needs to go away

(27,815 posts)... Howard Dean, Al Franken, John Lewis, and the other once-revered but now under-the-bus Democrats did - they endorsed HRC instead of BS.
According to the Bernie supporters on DU, any individual, organization, group or union that doesn't endorse Bernie is automatically part of the "Establishment" and a complete failure as a Democrat.
Hope that answers your question!

(55,445 posts)Hell, I remember when Barney Frank, John Lewis and Howard Dean (who was arguably the Sanders of '04) were revered on this site...
Folks got some short assed memories...
My one solace is that when Sanders finally concedes, most of the problem posters here will vanish since they want Trump to win anyway.

(15,406 posts)In January 2005, Barbara was the only senator object to the certification of Ohios electoral votes in the 2004 Presidential election.
After the 2000 election, not a single solitary senator would join with the House representatives to reject the certification of W.
What a sad disappointment she has become. And she was so passionate about climate change.

(11,617 posts)You sound like Tea Party.
Clinton or Sanders is going to need the full support of the Democratic party if they get nominated. No matter which candidate you support, attacking every Democrat who prefers another candidate is anarchy.

(11,617 posts)I'm happy to defend either Sanders or Clinton from trolls.
Check my post history. My problem with Gore and Kerry's campaigns was that they didn't fight back as hard as they should have against right wingers. I'm not coming to DU to watch trolls trash either of the two Democratic candidates.

(36,865 posts)You just basically called Pastiche423 a tea partier and a troll. Nice attack.
Democat
(11,617 posts)That should be a statement we can all agree on.

(36,865 posts)A more likely scenario of someone who is trolling is someone who takes an innocuous remark made by a fellow DUer and labels them as evil, a tea bagger and a troll.
