THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MELBOURNE HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD WARNING FOR...
ST. LUCIE COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA...

* UNTIL 745 PM EDT

* AT 542 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING
HEAVY RAIN WHICH WILL CAUSE FLOODING. UP TO SIX INCHES OF RAIN
HAVE ALREADY FALLEN OVER PARTS OF SAINT LUCIE COUNTY. ADDITIONAL
HEAVY RAIN IS MOVING BACK INTO THE WARNED AREA FROM THE WEST.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
PORT SAINT LUCIE...WALTON...FORT PIERCE AND WHITE CITY.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE

It's slowing down now. Ground is saturated and my plants have gotten a good, long drink. And, it's cooled down so there's some benefit.

I worry about tornadoes and flooding in other areas though.

A bunch of doctors were golfing at a nearby course. All of them got hit by sudden lightning. Another doc came up and saved the life of one of them - a pharmacist, now that I recall. Guy had major injuries and was never the same. Female savior was pregnant at the time and went on to have a healthy baby. The others were ok.

Yeah lightning is scary, but tornadoes scare me more.

Lake County. Glad I live on a hill.

But we need it. We normally don't get big rains till later in June. My lawn will be beautiful in a week.
