with differing assumptions. He runs an MRI that way, over time, and comes up with a big picture. Which had him playing to the racism, real, and the feeling they had been exploited by the GOP, real, of the base. Now the GOP is trying to get him to look at the world from the point of view that the base has not been exploited, which is bull****, and that they should continue on the path of no taxes or regulations on the rich, which is bull**** and does nothing to help workers live good lives. Trump is being pressured to adopt those views. But he can't help himself from looking at the world from other vantage points. So he backtracks. They prime him again with the GOP platform and it lasts for half a newscycle. Their **** doesn't stick because it is not real. So he has various perspectives inside that come and go. This could go on for the whole 6 months. Psychopaths can't make dyslexics believe the psychopaths bullshit whereas normal people fall for psychopathic crap all the time. Good ****ING luck to the GOP.

It was a suggestion. Look, anything I say right now, I'm not the president," Trump said. "Everything is a suggestion, no matter what I say, it's a suggestion."

And he does not want to adopt specific policies, or even study the issues so that he is better informed.

... the billionaire businessman was reluctant to add new layers of policy experts now, feeling it would only muddy his populist message that has been hyperfocused on illegal immigration, trade and fighting Islamic extremists.

“He doesn’t want to waste time on policy and thinks it would make him less effective on the stump,” the Trump source said.

Apparently, Trump is worried that filling his head with facts about the world will make him less effective as a right wing populist on the campaign trail. He is probably right about that.

Where we will all marvel in his greatness.

The rest--principles and beliefs and such--is all just window dressing.
