http://bipartisanreport.com/2016/05/16/breaking-abc-uncovers-financial-fraud-on-trumps-election-forms-in-attempt-to-evade-taxes-video/Basically, The Donald has been bragging about the value of his country club in New York, The Trump National Golf Club, saying that it is worth $50 million on his candidacy form. The catch is that his lawyer claims the value is closer to $1.5 million in tax documents. Regarless of whether the lawyer is lying and Trump is just trying to avoid paying the property taxes on the golf course, or Trump is lying about the value just to save face, it is still viewed as a form of fraud to put that information on an official government document....
This may be the reason the IRS has not released Trumps tax documents, and it is definitely the reason Trump himself gets visibly uncomfortable just mentioning his returns. According to ABC, this is not the first time trump has been caught trying to evade paying taxes.
According to ABC, When Trump purchased one of the most expensive luxury yachts in the world from the Sultan of Brunei, The Princess, he used a lease-back arrangement involving an out-of-state company to avoid having to pay $1.75 million in sales tax to the state of New Jersey for the purchase of the yacht.
I'm shocked, shocked to find out that tax evasion has been going on in this establishment!

(1,000 posts)This can of worms hasn't really even been opened yet. She's got so many scandals, she has to queue them up for the future since the present day is saturated with her scandals already.

(21,743 posts)As much as you want to paint her as the creature of the Black Lagoon, Clinton was a pretty good President, albeit not perfect. However, the Clinton Fondation has done more to help the poor and feed the hungry around the world than all 16 GOP candidates, Trump, and Berne combined.
When facts come out about Trump, people like you immediately turn it into speculation about Hillary.
But, one way or another, you are either going to most likely make a joined between her and Trump. If that's not enough for you, I suggest you go to Free Republic where they have appreciated Hillary bashing for however long they have been around.

(62,444 posts)Wtf is that supposed to mean? The IRS doesn't "release" anyone's tax information.

(32,886 posts)The main crux regarding the tax issue is obviously right as per ABC but a lot of the rest is nonsense.

(62,444 posts)"this may be the reason the FBI has not released The Donalds tax returns to the public"
"This may be the reason the IRS has not released Trumps tax documents"
Okay, both of those sentences appear in the OP. Not only are they contradictory, but neither one of them makes sense by itself since neither the IRS nor the FBI releases anyone's tax information to anyone. The piece is written by someone who was making shit up and couldn't decide between the FBI and the IRS, because they WROTE THE SAME SENTENCE TWICE.

(11,989 posts)The linked article talks about "when it came time to value the property for tax purposes" -- but it is certainly expected that the property (the land and structure, for purposes of determining property tax) could be far less than the value of the country club business that is operating on that property. Without more info, there's just nothing here at all.

(62,444 posts)The value of real property for tax assessment purposes and the value of real property for commercial purposes are usually wildly different things. I was distracted by the other nonsense that I didn't notice it doesn't make much sense substantively either.
But, yeah... you are of course correct.

(26,060 posts)Whether Donald Trump is evading taxes on one of his properties, or committing fraud to make it look like he is wealthier than he is, the fact is that Donald Trump just got busted lying on the form he filled out in order to become a candidate for the presidency. According to some news outlets, this may be the reason the FBI has not released The Donalds tax returns to the public.
Since when does the FBI have donnie's taxes and they would NEVER be able to release them to the public. Neither would the IRS for that matter. Who wrote this tripe?

(26,060 posts)I don't see anything about the bullshit regarding the FBI (?!!) or the IRS not releasing his tax returns.

(32,009 posts)Which is it? They are not the same although the OP does not seem to realize that. Not that it matters because neither is allowed to release tax forms.
