Chicago-area authorities have launched a search for Sinead O'Connor after the singer failed to return from a bike ride in the suburb of Wilmette on Sunday, May 15, according to TMZ.
The site reports police issued an alert deeming Sinead "missing suicidal" after she took off on a motorized Raleigh-brand bicycle outfitted with a pink basket. She was reportedly last seen wearing a black parka, black leather pants and a sweatshirt emblazoned with the word "Ireland" on the back.
The concern about her potential to harm herself likely stems from November of last year, when Sinead wrote on social media that she was intentionally overdosing on pills and accused her family of ignoring her.
"The last two nights have finished me off. I have taken an overdose," Sinead, who has been diagnosed as bipolar, wrote at the time.
