Mark Lane, gadfly lawyer, author who promoted JFK conspiracy theory, dies at 89

He was definitely controversial. He may or may not have gotten many things right such as his JFK conspiracy theories, I guess history will determine that one.. Though at least one CT, such as his assertions that many war crimes were committed and covered up during the Vietnam war. was right...... I still like Jane Fonda she may have been used as a pawn but she had more intestinal fortitude than most Republican cheerleaders for the war at that time. She at least had the guts to go to Vietnam, even if it was North Vietnam, unlike so many in the GOT'Billy Party who did nothing but cheer for war from the safety of "the land of the big PX" ....

Throughout his career, Mr. Lane often claimed that government conspiracies were linked to many significant events in U.S. history. He was arrested at many antiwar demonstrations, often with actress Jane Fonda. In a controversial 1970 book, “Conversations With Americans,” Mr. Lane alleged that members of the U.S. military committed countless war crimes in Vietnam.
