(30,250 posts)Trump would be a disaster for the country. I just cringe thinking who he would appoint to SCOTUS.

I think that people reading it had to put a brown paper bag over their heads
but sometimes, while on the surface something might be crude, that is what really cuts to the core

(36,827 posts)However, Cuban has done and said all sorts of things quite favorable to Trump since then, so at best he's simply a hypocrite.
Mark Cuban: "I think he'd be pragmatic. Who knows, right? Do I think he's as qualified as any of the other Republican candidates? Yes. I'm not one to believe that if you're a one or two-term Senator that really makes you any more qualified or if you're a two-term governor that makes you any more qualified. Running this country is not easy no matter what and you just hope somebody has enough brain power to figure it out. I think that's why [Barack] Obama, for all of his mistakes, has done a lot of good things because the guy is smart. I think Trump is smart. I think a couple of the other candidates, I don't think any of them are dumb. Some of them are so dogmatic. I think that's the one thing you can't be. As President of the Unites States, you don't know where the next problem is coming from. You don't know what all the facts are going to be. You have to be smart. You have to be able to process information. You have to have some leadership skills. The one thing you can not be is dogmatic. And I think that's what's haunting both sides [during] this primary season. Everybody is trying to show that they're more dogmatic than the next guy, except for Trump. Even he has his moments with the wall and immigration. But with everything else, him and maybe [John] Kasich are the least dogmatic."
...
Question: So if he picked up the phone and asked you to be his vice president, would you do it?
Mark Cuban: "As long as he said he's listen to me in everything I said we'd be okay."

(36,827 posts)He's just an asshole in a lot of other more overt ways, like flagrantly skirting all ethical boundaries in the pursuit of making money in perfect keeping with his overt Ayn Randian warped philosophy.
