To WV; the coal industry is gone and it's not coming back.

It's not anyone's fault, it's solar, wind, meth gas all of which require almost no people to generate electricity.

You of course know that but you need some rant time.

Technology marches on and it's time for you to move on also.

if this State was Progressive,we would not be talking about the demise of a Old out dated Industry. We seen this same scenario in the Iron Mining Industry in Minnesota. And the State moved accordingly to mitigate the finical impact to the Range. Yes,there are folks who think there is a viable Iron ore industry still there,forget about it,it only can be sustained with State dollars.

it's time to wake up.

We need to look for a safety net(age 50 SocSec), learn to live without killing each other and learn how to weld.

but the way that the coal industry has fucked up and fucked over that state, to say nothing of the pollution and mountain top removal, they should be saying good riddance. The loss of jobs is something that could and should have been foreseen and perhaps planned for?
