Reagan needs to be taken down off his fake high-horse. He screwed this country

Had a little meeting at work this morning. The lady next to me, (who I only know as someone who fills a cubicle across the passageway and down the hall from me in a different department) started a conversation about Trump being the presumptive GOP nominee. She went on to lament that “it looks like our only choice is Trump or Hillary and that’s terrible”.

We simply cannot let people get away with trying to place Hillary Clinton on the same plateau as Donald “Effing” Trump. There is absolutely nowhere, except in the warped minds of the Faux News-Hate Radio Zombies, where that thought could exist.

I told her that I agree that “Trump is an absolute ass-pickle” and that I don’t blame Americans for being angry, because “this shit all started with Reagan, the Republicans and that bullshit ‘trickle-down’ crap we’ve been fed for the past 35 years”.

I further explained that the Republicans only have ONE “effing” policy position…and that is “lower taxes on the wealthy that will trickle-down to the rest of us”, but the main problem with that policy is that “it never trickles-down…and it NEVER will”.

Trickle-down is nothing but right-wing porn. It may look sexy or hot when you see it, but in the end, it leaves you disillusioned, unsatisfied and ashamed.

We were warned about the damage that Reagan would do to this country, but too many people bought into the “aw-shucks, golly-gee-willikers, harmless Grandfatherly” horseshit!

Truth be told, all of the harm done to Middle Class Americans over the past 35 years can rightfully be laid at the feet of that rat-bastard Reagan.

- National Debt
- Crumbling Infrastructure
- Stagnant Wages
- Increased Middle Class Suicide Rate
- Increased Homelessness
- Wars all over the fucking globe
- The change from a manufacturing to a service based economy

All of that crap and more, just because a little over 50% of Americans bought into the idea that if we just turned over all the fucking wealth to the “elites” they’d surely share it with all of us.

We are going to continue to have these problems until we absolutely “Effing” kill that Reagan Supply-side horseshit myth, bury it in the dirt and salt the ground.

6. This lady also brought up

the "ole reliable" people getting handouts crap...but then she gave me the money shot.

She said; "some people just don't want help, like the homeless...they want to live that life-style and a lot of them have Mental Health issues"

The irony of her saying that, when it was Reagan who cut funding to Mental Health services and threw those in treatment out in the streets to become homeless almost made my head explode.

7. Excellent point, re: mental healthcare.

Starting with Reagan, our "solution" to the mentally ill who are not fortunate enough to afford expensive private care is to basically warehouse them on the street. It's a national embarrassment. Sort of like the rest of our fubar healthcare system.

I work with a very reasonable lady and we NEVER discuss politics here but one day I heard her talking to someone about how "I work hard and there's people sitting on their cans collecting welfare..." Uh-oh. I think here in PA there is no "welfare" at all for childless adults except food stamps.

9. I hated Reagan for his attitude towards women and other things

I wrote him a letter, told him to do his presidential thing and get out of women's lives. I think I paid for that years later when I applied for SS. They claimed I owed them 7,000.00 from the time my husband died and I collected his SS for the kids. I fought them but gave up and paid it all back.
Also hated him for making sure very few people were to receive disability. My brother died shortly after being refused. He had polio as a child and in his fifties he was having heart problems, could hardly work with swollen hands and feet. With all this the doctor refused to OK him for disability. I can never forgive Reagan for that. They knew it was wrong, my sister-in-law was offered 10,000.00 after he died. She was too noble and refused since they wouldn't help him when he needed it.
