http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2016/04/donald_trump_will_be_the_republican_nominee_for_president_don_t_ever_get.htmlNo, what makes Donald Trump something new in American political life is that hes all of these things at once: a racist, nativist demagogue with few ties to government, no experience in public office, no service in the armed forces, and little to no knowledge of anything involving governance, from policy to basic questions like, What is the Supreme Court, and what does it do? If you conjured all the ignorance and arrogance in America and gave it human form, you would have Donald Trump, give or take a spray tan....
They almost certainly wont. Trump is one of the most unpopular figures in recent memory, if not the most unpopular presidential candidate in modern American history. He unites the entire Democratic Party coalition against him at the same time that he divides and fractures the Republican Party. A political party that floats a parallel campaign against its own presumptive nominee is not a party united enough to wage a full effort for the presidency. Most Republicans may well vote for Trump, but most isnt enough to carry the day.
This shouldnt comfort you. By definition, a presidential nominee has a decent chance of becoming president, where decent can mean anything from 1 to 100 percent. A sudden recession, a terrorist attackthese are the unknown unknowns that can hand an election to a challenger.
I dont think Donald Trump will become president. But he could. And thats terrifying.

was a Republican. There will be millions of what they used to call Reagan Democrats that will vote for Trump because of his
stand against trade and immigration. I wouldn't underestimate the plane old bigot vote either. Then you have the gun rights
people to top it off. Trump is no joke.

She was a black cat who I enticed to crawl up my back staircase in NOLA. I had friends named Terry and Velvet (!), so a fabric name seemed like a natural, and Satin is just one letter off from
Sadly, it did not end well. Turned out Satin was preggers (!), but she kept moving the kitties around the apartment, and one by one they died.
