Just got word from Congressman Kildee that President Obama is coming to Flint, next week

Statement by Congressman Dan Kildee on President Obama Traveling to Flint
April 27, 2016

Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05) issued the following statement today after it was announced by the White House that President Barack Obama will travel to Flint, Mich., next week to meet directly with Flint families affected by the ongoing water crisis:

“I thank President Obama for keeping the focus on Flint families affected by the city’s water crisis and I look forward to welcoming the President to my hometown.

“All Americans should be focused on the ongoing public health emergency. A city of 100,000 people continues to not have safe drinking water and has been exposed to high levels of lead. As a nation, and as Americans, we must come together to help Flint families recover from this terrible tragedy.”

2. I'm hoping to at least be able to wave

I'm only a few miles from the Bishop Airport. If he flies into Flint, instead of Detroit, Air Force One will probably fly right over my house.

Fingers crossed they publish more information, soon. Now that I'm a 'lady of leisure' again, I'll try to be in the crowd.
