Trump: If Hillary were a man she wouldn't get 5 percent of the vote
By Lisa Hagen and Jonathan Swan
Donald Trump said in a victory speech Tuesday night that Hillary Clinton wouldn't get five percent of the vote in a general election if she was a man.
"Frankly, if Hillary Clinton were a man I don't think she'd get five percent of the vote," Trump told a crowd gathered at Trump Tower in New York for his victory speech after the billionaire swept through the five north-east primaries on Tuesday night.
"The only thing she's got going is the woman's card," Trump added, in an extended attack on Clinton toward the end of his speech.

Other than..he truly believes that women don't deserve to be running things on their own merit - only because they may be the first woman to do something and that is their whole worth. If I was an adviser - could not think of a single way to spin that into "right." Can you?

Out of hand it's so wrong it would be funny, if it weren't so sad.

(42,770 posts)provoked this inane, totally inane response. Bet his advisers spit coffee out at that point. How utterly stupid of him.
This single response, out of all others, showed his true colors. Even Nicole said...this was the time he should have congratulated Hillary.
And, aside from all that, how purely ungracious of him, to suck all that airtime for a victory speech (rambling rant), given others have spent every waking hour trying to win??

(19,565 posts)Of course, you don't have any obligation to answer.
My personal impression of you was that you leaned more Sanders early on. I was an O'Malley supporter originally this time around. No judgment on who you backed coming from me in the least. Then, I leaned Sanders, but I couldn't coalesce his words into something that could become real. Which was a personal decision, and I'm not judging others here for their personal choices which were different than mine.
I only mention all of this as an olive branch of sorts. What I'm wondering is what has caused you to come across differently to me when I read you?
You can email me the reply, or not reply at all. Either way, I understand. I'm breaching civility, and admittedly prying here.
Just don't kick my ass! I'm just curious, and trying to be transparent in my question.

(153,169 posts)I was kicked out of the Hillary Tiger Beat club on, like, week one because that vote for IWR defies explanation.........but the over-the-top non-stop bashing of Hillary here makes me sick.......and anyone who is 100% behind ANY politician is an IDIOT

(19,565 posts)I, too, am not really enthusiastic about either choice, but I'm trying to be respectful of those who are...unlike some here. Some of the stuff being said is just ridiculous, and some is pure bullshit. It gets irritating.
Politicians are not super heroes, they're humans. Flawed just like all the rest of us are. Some are better than others, sure, but I've yet to find one I was 100% behind. Hell, I consider 80% to be amazingly good in regards to a presidential candidate.
Thanks for the reply. I suspected you were a reasonable person, good to know I was right.
