Seriously. How the Hell do we win in November when we saw what we did in the Walker Recall?

I've been trying to wrap my head around this all day and I am seriously wondering How the hell to do we get a government that isn't bought and paid for thanks to the citizen's united ruling.

People weren't interested in ousting a governor mid term over policy.

that's why voters listed it as a reason to vote for walker. The election was bought and paid for by corporate, outside money. The candidate with the most money always wins. Dana ; )

I understand that since last November the pro-Walker forces were running TV ads making the argument that a recall was too extreme.

And that, in my opinion, is where the national Democratic Party and the Democratic Governors Association dropped the ball big time -- they should have bought the TV time to run the ads arguing that because Walker was radical, had lied in his campaign about what his real plans were, was acting like a little dictator, etc., a recall was legitimate and appropriate in this case.

Instead Walker had an open field with millions of super PAC dollars to define the election on his terms.

The Wisconsin recall matters very much to the coming fall election -- it was the test run for the Repuglicans and the corporate billionaires -- and they succeeded.

That's what happens when you get a media that leans so stupidly to one side and fails to check facts.

Since Obama said he was going to let the Bush taxcuts expire, the Republicans will argue that he is raising taxes on everyone. If Obama says he is only letting the taxcuts expire on those above $250,000, then the Repubs will argue that he is raising taxes on small business.

So much depends on the message and how it is framed. Democrats suck at framing the issues, just as they did in Wisconsin. Recall elections are difficult to win anyway but they let Droopy Walker define the message he wanted. The voters believed his message more than they believed the Democratic message. It was as simple as that.

Pressure your governor and all appointees. Pressure the white house and all involved. Pressure the banks and the rich.

Victory is ours through the pressure of massive numbers united. Look at Rush Limbaugh running away. Let's turn that upon Citizens United.

Off year election are how the GOP win. Not many people show up. That is mostly our own fault, look what happened in the congress in 2010, small turn out GOP made gains.

and understand the brass ring is NOT the presidency, but your local government and other lower offices.

It is time Democrats understand this. At one point people knew this.
